Job summary

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a Louisiana-licensed Optometrist to provide care 2–3 days per month at an established outpatient clinic in Alexandria, LA.

This independent contractor role pays $1,100 per visit and requires minimal commitment, with equipment, supplies, scheduling, and administrative support provided by CMC so you can focus on patient care.

This arrangement is ideal for supplementing an existing practice with meaningful patient care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program.
• Active and unrestricted Louisiana Optometry License
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Dependable and comfortable working independently
• Experience with senior or medically complex populations is helpful, but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments
• Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within your scope of practice
• Prescribe corrective lenses and make appropriate treatment recommendations
• Document patient encounters appropriately
• Communicate recommendations with the clinic's care team
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to an aging population
