Job summary

Clearwater Solutions in Enfield, NC seeks a dedicated wastewater plant operator responsible for the successful maintenance and operation of the facility. You will perform sampling, monitoring, and testing to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work independently, and willingness to work weekends and on-call. Prior treatment experience and a state operator certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess a state-issued wastewater operator certification.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR required.
• Experience in water/wastewater treatment preferred.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling, monitoring and testing to comply with Federal, State and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process.
• Operate sewage treatment, sludge processing, and disposal equipment to control flow and processing of sewage.
• Perform daily checks of the wastewater treatment process and periodic checks of pump stations.
• Perform preventative maintenance of plant equipment and repairs as needed.
• Read and interpret meters and gauges that monitor the purification process and operation.
• Collect and record data for reporting and record maintenance.
• Perform grounds and landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming and cleanup tasks.
• Perform other related duties as directed.

Job Summary

• Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process and management
• Operates sewage treatment, sludge processing, and disposal equipment to control flow and processing of sewage
• Perform daily checks of the wastewater treatment process and periodic checks of pump stations
• Responsible for preventative maintenance of plant equipment and perform repairs of machinery and equipment as needed
• Read and interpret meters and gauges that monitor the purification process and operation
• Collects and records data for record maintenance and reporting
• Performs facility grounds maintenance including cleaning equipment and tanks
• Perform general landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, clean-ups, pruning, and other typical landscape maintenance tasks
• Performs other related duties as directed

Qualifications: Job Qualifications

• Must possess a state-issued wastewater operator certification
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Records required
• Experience within a water/wastewater treatment environment
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to work independently

• Must be available to work weekends and ‘on-call’ as needed
