Job summary

Mathnasium is seeking a part-time Math Tutor at East Wichita to provide quality math instruction using our teaching method. You will assess progress and guide students in small groups, helping them build confidence and problem-solving skills.

The role requires on-site presence and a willingness to work a set hours schedule. Candidates should have strong Algebra 1 skills, enjoy working with children, and communicate clearly in English.

Qualifications

• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra 1; higher is preferred.
• Must pass a math competency exam before hiring.
• Strong interest in working with students and helping them learn.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills in English.
• Comfort with digital technology and a cell phone or similar device.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional math instruction using Mathnasium materials.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Evaluate and correct student work and homework.
• Provide individual instruction in small groups.
• Assist with occasional non-teaching tasks.
