Job summary

Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) seeks a School of Occupational Therapy Teaching Assistant to support faculty in delivering courses. The role is Per Diem (0.01 FTE) in Yakima, WA, with a pay rate of $17.13/hour.

The SOTTA will assist with scheduling, filing, meetings, literature searches, and meeting logistics while aligning with accreditation standards and the mission of PNWU. Strong organization and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to conduct literature searches using online library databases.
• Experience planning and coordinating meetings.
• Experience with audio visual equipment, telephone and web conferencing.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling student activities.
• Developing, maintaining and organizing electronic filing systems.
• Communicating effectively with parties involved.
• Assisting with the scheduling and planning of meetings and/or events.
• Conducting literature searches using online library databases and other resources.
• Operating telephone and web-conferencing equipment.
• Responding in a timely manner to information requests.
• Attending meetings with faculty supervisor(s), as directed.
• Maintaining clean and organized workstation and office space.
• Completing other assignments from faculty supervisor.
• Understands accreditation standards and adheres to policies and procedures to meet or exceed such standards.
• Conduct appropriate and consistent with the philosophy and mission of PNWU.
• Other duties as assigned.
