Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Maine or endorsement pending.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 4 years acute care experience.
• Demonstrates leadership in communications, organization, conflict management and problem solving.
• Ability to function independently and act rapidly in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hospital nursing functions and coordinate age-appropriate patient care.
• Assess staffing adequacy based on patient acuity and staff competency.
• Reassign staff to meet patient care needs as necessary.
• Promote teamwork and professional relationships across departments.
• Attend department and management meetings as scheduled.
• Maintain confidentiality and support the hospital mission and values.
• Ensure compliance with Code of Conduct and policies.
• Demonstrate cost containment and educational activities.
