Job summary

Fortis College in Columbia, SC is seeking a Nursing Instructor for a part-time hourly position. The faculty member will implement the curriculum, provide classroom, clinical, and laboratory teaching, and participate in program evaluation and improvement in alignment with college policies.

The candidate should hold an accredited nursing education program, SC RN license, and a Master's degree in nursing; teaching experience is preferred, with strong communication and PC skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited professional nursing education program.
• A current, active, unencumbered license as a registered nurse in South Carolina.
• A Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and analytical skills.
• Excellent teaching and classroom management skills.
• Functional abilities to carry out classroom, clinical, and laboratory teaching responsibilities.
• Competence in clinical skills in areas of teaching.
• Competent in personal computer applications: word processing, spreadsheet, database, and email.
• Criminal background check, drug screening, required immunizations, current CPR and HIPAA certifications.
• Provides annual documentation of continuing professional growth at the employee's expense.
