Job summary

Ivy Tech Bloomington campus is seeking Nursing faculty to teach the next generation of nurses. This part-time, in-person role averages 6–12 hours per week, typically 1–2 days in clinical settings or on campus, with hours from 7am to 5pm.

Adjuncts earn $46.75 per contact hour and are responsible for creating engaging learning environments, delivering instruction, and assessing students within the provided syllabi. Requirements include RN licensure in Indiana and a Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current, unencumbered Indiana Registered Nurse license.
• Master's Degree in Nursing preferred; if holding a Bachelor's Degree, must be enrolled in a Master's program.

Responsibilities

• Delivers assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
• Uses technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Develops and maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.
• Maintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
• Engages with students to create a positive learning experience and active teaching strategies.
• Adheres to College policies and safety procedures in classrooms, labs, and all learning environments.
