Job summary

A higher education institution in New York is seeking part-time clinical instructors to facilitate student learning in nursing. Instructors will oversee clinical experiences, provide feedback, and support students in their journey towards success. Ideal candidates must hold a master's degree in nursing, possess an active NYS RN license, and have extensive clinical experience. Compensation is set at $5,000, with additional benefits including paid time off and health insurance.

Qualifications

• A master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Active, unencumbered NYS RN license.
• Minimum of 5 years of RN experience in varied clinical areas.
• Current clinical experience within an acute care hospital.
• Experience supervising nursing students and/or new graduate RNs.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete onboarding and training requirements.
• Work 2 non-consecutive weekends at a clinical site during an 8-week term.
• Grade clinical assignments using course-specific rubrics.
• Plan patient assignments consistent with clinical objectives.
• Conduct synchronous Zoom sessions with students.
