Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services is seeking a part-time cook for Southpark Meadows Nursing and Rehab Center in Austin, TX. The cook will prepare resident meals according to diet specifications and facility procedures, while maintaining sanitation and following prescribed dietary and sanitary regulations.

Essential duties include preparing food items on scheduled menus, and ensuring sanitation of equipment and work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Texas Food Handler Certificate (preferred).
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation and hygienic methods.
• Knowledge of Universal Precautions and hazardous waste rules.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility (preferred).
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals on assigned menus and according to resident diets and specifications.
• Maintain sanitation of equipment, utensils, work area, storage, and serving areas.
• Follow proper food handling procedures.
