Job summary

FLATLANDS MEDICAL AND URGENT CARE P.C. in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner to perform patient evaluations, take histories, and conduct exams in a fast-paced walk-in setting. You will order tests, interpret results, and design evidence-based treatment plans for primary, urgent, and hospital follow-up care.

You will document encounters, collaborate with physicians, and educate patients and families while coordinating Medicare workflows to ensure timely, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in New York State and national certification (e.g., FNP, ANP, or similar).
• Clinical expertise in primary care and management of common acute and chronic conditions.
• Strong assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and evidence-based treatment planning skills.
• Proficiency with electronic health records, documentation, and basic medical technologies.
• Exceptional communication, patient education, and interpersonal skills to work with diverse populations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, walk-in care environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with Medicare populations and hospital-based care coordination is preferred.
• Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program; BLS/ACLS certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
