Job summary

Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center, Ball Ground, Georgia, seeks a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner for Addiction Medicine. Under Medical Director supervision, you will evaluate patients and provide treatment in a licensed facility setting.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating illnesses, developing master treatment plans, coordinating with medical staff, and ensuring patient safety. State guidelines and on-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• Master's in Nursing; NP program required.
• Clinical experience with the patient population; ability to demonstrate knowledge of limit setting, therapeutic boundaries, crisis management, therapeutic treatment, environment and patient care.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Practicing Nurse Practitioner preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team.
• Participate in the formulation of patient Master Treatment Plan
• Assess physical and psychiatric health of patient and formulate measures to meet patient needs.
• Chart clinical observation, evaluations and treatment of patient as required by guidelines.
• Communicate with physicians and other staff to provide quality care within guidelines.
• Encourage family involvement in patient care and address educational needs of patient and family.
• Follow state guidelines, hospital policy and procedures, and medical staff bylaws.
• Provide services in accordance with state Nurse Practitioner guidelines.
• On-call responsibilities on scheduled basis directed by medical staff.
• May order, perform or interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medication.
• Maintain patient safety and strive to resolve complaints.
