Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Coronary Intensive Care/Cardiac ICU (CIC) in Fort Wayne, IN. The CIC unit covers a 24-bed ICU with extensive cardiac care and general ICU patients.

The RN provides patient-centered care, coordinates closely with physicians and peers, and delivers care according to established protocols, ensuring safety and quality. Nights, part-time and on-call expectations may apply.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• RN - Registered Nurse licensure required; BCLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications as applicable per unit guidelines

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process and protocols.
• Documents findings and reports changes in condition to care team.
• Administers medications and monitors for adverse effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Collaborates to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
