Job summary

Renew Cannabis Co. in Concord, CA is seeking a part-time Armed Security Officer to join our team. You will patrol designated areas on foot, monitor entrances, and respond to emergencies while engaging with customers and associates in a professional manner.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year in retail/customer service, 5 years in security, and at least 2 years of armed security experience. BSIS Guard Card and firearm permits are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• 1 year experience in retail, customer service and/or hospitality required.
• Five years experience in security preferred.
• At least 2 years experience Armed Security preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles.
• Monitor entrances and exits and permit authorized persons to enter property.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.
