Job summary

Nazareth Hospital in the Philadelphia area is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist to staff the 12-hour night shift (7pm–7:30am). Responsibilities include performing respiratory treatments, assessing patients, and documenting care.

The role involves rotating holidays and every third weekend, with opportunities to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team. Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, graduation from an AMA-approved respiratory therapy program, NBRC registration, PA

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• AMA approved respiratory therapy program.
• Registered through NBRC.
• Licensed in PA or valid temporary license and Registered Respiratory Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory treatment modalities in conformance with established policies and procedures, and communicates information for continuity of care.
• Delivers and delegates respiratory care to inpatients and outpatients with sound judgement.
• Charts observations via Focus Charting, patient assessments, and completes forms accurately and timely (Flow sheets, e-MARs).
• Identifies and utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to facilitate delivery of care.
• Seeks knowledge about patient conditions and treatments and reflects this in care and documentation and team conferences.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

AMA approved respiratory therapy program

NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist

PA license or valid temporary PA license

BLS Certification
