Demant's Hearing Screening Associates is seeking a Part-Time Newborn Hearing Screening Technician for a busy NICU setting at Olathe Medical Center (The Birth Place Hospital) in Olathe, KS, with secondary location Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO.
You will perform newborn hearing screenings, educate parents about screening relevance and early intervention, and document results. Training is provided; shifts start around 8 AM, 2–3 hours daily, totaling 6–10 hours per week.

Hearing loss is one of the most common birth defects in the US. Undetected hearing loss can lead to delays in speech and language development. Your role as a Newborn Hearing Screening Technician will ensure infants with hearing loss are identified at the time of birth and receive appropriate care.

Location: Olathe Medical Center (The Birth Place Hospital) in Olathe KS (Primary Location) and Liberty Hospital in Liberty MO (Secondary Location). Emergency coverage at the secondary location would be infrequent. We are looking to hire 4 screens at the primary location.
Schedule: 2-3 weekday shifts each week and alternating weekends a start time of 8 AM daily. Shifts generally average 2-3 hours daily. This position offers approximately 6-10 hours per week.
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour + $1.00/hr. weekend differential!
This part-time position can provide supplemental income and is perfect for stay-at-home parents, and college students. We screen babies 7 days a week, 365 days per year and schedules are established quarterly.
You will receive extensive training which will allow you to have a thorough knowledge of procedures and instruments!
The Newborn Hearing Screening Technician performs hearing screens on newborn infants, provides education to parents pertaining to the relevance of hearing screening and early intervention, and records patient information and hearing screen results. The screener is responsible for conducting these hearing screening tests prior to patient discharge; supporting patient care goals and objectives.
