Job summary

Jackson College is seeking part-time adjunct instructors to teach Natural Science courses based on the instructor’s qualifications. Positions are non-full-time and assignments may vary by semester and enrollment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Natural Science, Physics, Geology or Astronomy (or 18 graduate credits in Natural Science, Physics, Geology and/or Astronomy)
• Experience teaching at the college level preferred
• Ability to work with diverse student populations and schedules

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and grade students’ work and progress.
• Prepare and deliver instructional materials for in-person or online courses.
• Lead discussions and facilitate active learning in class.
• Administer exams and provide timely feedback.
• Assist students in accessing college resources and services.
• Adapt teaching variables to enrollment fluctuations and scheduling constraints
