Job summary

The Wanda L. Bass School of Music at Oklahoma City University seeks part-time adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in applied music and classroom teaching, including music theory, history, and education.

This pool allows chairs across the School to access candidate materials for current or future needs during the academic year. Applicants should hold a master’s degree in a relevant field; teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Generally, a minimum of a master’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality instruction for assigned courses. Instruction may take place in traditional or online courses.
• Evaluate student learning, skills, and abilities. Ensure documentation of coursework and grades.
• Support the integrity of curricula and promote the university’s mission.
• Adhere to all policies within the Oklahoma City University Faculty Handbook.
• Other duties as assigned.
