Job summary

The Grand Rapids Public Museum in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to ensure the safety of visitors and staff. You will monitor alarms, respond to incidents, and remain on site during shifts to help maintain a secure, welcoming environment.

Ideal candidates will have strong people skills, be organized and dependable, and able to communicate effectively. Training in CPR, AED, and First Aid is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to alarms on security systems.
• Respond to medical and other emergencies.
• Remain on museum property during shifts.
• Conduct watch tours and inspect doors and sensors.
• Notify authorities when needed.
• Maintain accurate security logs and reports.
• Control entrances and issue badges/keys.
