Job summary

The Science Museum of Virginia is seeking a Part-Time Housekeeper to join our housekeeping team. The role ensures daily cleanliness and readiness of spaces for events at Broad Street Station, with focus on safety and high guest experience.

Responsibilities include following cleaning protocols, maintaining equipment, and assisting during events. Availability nights, weekends, and holidays is required; 20–25 hours weekly with a 1500-hour annual cap.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, equipment, and sanitation standards for a public facility.
• Experience with safety practices when using chemicals and cleaning equipment.
• Experience operating buffers and vacuum cleaners.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities
