JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Penn State Alumni Association is seeking a talented and experienced multimedia designer. This part-time position will be situated within the Marketing and Operations unit at the Alumni Association and will involve providing designs to support the alumni association's mission of connecting alumni to the University and to each other, providing valued services to members, and supporting the University's mission of teaching, research, and service.

Responsibilities include:
  • Work within project teams to understand marketing goals and audience needs and translate requirements into effective design solutions.
  • Conceptualize, develop, and produce design solutions that meet project goals across various platforms including websites, social media, email, digital banner ads, presentations, and print channels.
  • Provide updates to existing visual designs, including resizing graphics for new platforms.
  • Understand and adhere to University and Penn State Alumni Association brand standards, reinforcing standards within design work to ensure brand consistency.
  • Coordinate design reviews and respond to feedback throughout the process while maintaining best practices.
Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will be creative professionals capable of succeeding on cross-functional, fast-paced teams with multiple deadlines, stakeholders, and complexities. A Bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience in multimedia design or an equivalent combination of education and experience are required, along with demonstrable experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Candidates should provide a link to a digital portfolio as part of their application.
