Job summary

Vancouver Clinic is seeking a part-time Mohs Histology Tech to join the Mohs Dermatology team in Vancouver, WA. The role expects 28 hours per week with a Monday–Friday schedule and a $33.22–$49.83 per hour pay range.

Responsibilities include orienting, embedding, cutting, and staining frozen tissue, preparing reagents, and maintaining QC logs. Strong attendance and team spirit are essential in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of recent experience as a Histology Tech with previous frozen section experience required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Mohs or Dermatology is strongly preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) program preferred.
• HT (ASCP) or HLT (ASCP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Orienting, embedding, cutting, and staining of frozen tissue specimens.
• Freeze tissue samples, cut frozen sections and mount samples on slides, prepare reagents and solutions used in procedures, and maintain quality control logs for slide review.
• Maintain positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment to support patient care.

Education

HT (ASCP) or HLT (ASCP) certification preferred

HT/ASCP Histotechnician or Histotechnologist program graduate preferred
