Job summary

Southwest Tennessee Community College is seeking a Part-Time Career Exploration Lab Technician to support the Mobile Learning Lab Operations. This temporary role reports to the Career Exploration Lab Coordinator and involves hands-on equipment work.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Electronics Technology or related field.
• Experience with inventory management.
• Experience with computer hardware and software maintenance.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to repair, maintain, and install microcomputer equipment.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Directly supports mobile unit activities.
• Manage and maintain electronic test/repair equipment including (but not limited to): PACE rework stations, Mantis Microscopes, Oscilloscopes, bench power supplies, signal generators, multimeters, and trainers.
• Monitor and resupply inventory of laboratory consumables.
• Troubleshoot equipment including software and hardware.
• Checks and tests equipment and work in confined spaces.
• Work up to maximum of 16 hours per week.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
