Job summary

Capitol Dental in Salem, OR seeks a Part Time Expanded Practice Dental Hygienist for a Community Outreach program. You will work across medical clinics, hospitals, and community settings delivering independent hygiene care and education.

As a primary care provider in outreach sites, you will use tele-dentist support, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals while maintaining EHR documentation and insurance verifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Current Oregon Dental Hygiene License or ability to obtain prior to start.
• Oregon EPDH license required and CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and independent decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide hygiene services and assessments independently across multiple community locations.
• Collaborate with tele-dentist for chart reviews and treatment planning.
• Coordinate referrals for restorative care with local providers.
• Manage scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks including insurance verification and EHR entries.
• Educate patients and community stakeholders on oral health importance.
