Job summary

MISD - Murray Middle School in Murray, Kentucky is seeking an Assistant Coach for MS Soccer. The role involves coaching students in fundamental soccer skills, safety, and sportsmanship, and supporting academic achievement through athletics.

Qualifications

• Shall hold all certifications required by Kentucky Department of Education.
• Ability to work effectively with students, peers and adults.
• Must be chosen with reference to personal, educational, physical, moral and emotional fitness.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents and faculty.

Responsibilities

• Develop drill and practice activities that teach and enhance individual/team skill development for soccer.
• Develop and maintain equipment inventory and schedule check-out/check-in.
• Plan and enforce safety and health rules and regulations.
• Supervise Students during practices, games, and out-of-town activities to ensure safety.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Be an effective communicator with players, parents, supervisors and staff.
• Promote academic achievement alongside athletic involvement.
• Follow all district guidelines, policies and laws.
• Ensure equitable access and participation for all students.
