Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking a part-time adjunct faculty member to teach the Microbiology Lab for the Spring 2027 on-campus session in Phoenix, AZ. The course supports BIO-205 laboratory principles, techniques, and identification of microorganisms.

Qualified candidates include those with a Master’s in Biological Science with microbiology emphasis or a Master’s with 18 graduate credits in microbiology.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Doctorate or Master's in a Biological Science with emphasis in microbiology.
• Minimum: Master's in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in Biology emphasizing microbiology.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions.
• Engage students in learning course objectives and topics.
• Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
