Lone Star College is seeking an adjunct Microbiology faculty member to teach microbiology courses at various times and locations in the Texas system. The role emphasizes student engagement, adherence to course syllabi, and timely communication with students.

The position is part-time and contingent on student demand, with classes offered day, evening, and weekend throughout the academic year. A master's degree in biology is required, and experience with distance or hybrid learning is a plus.

Formación

• A master's degree or higher in theoretical or applied biology or life sciences.
• Experience designing and teaching microbiology courses is preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations and multiple campus locations.

Responsabilidades

• Teaches Microbiology courses at a variety of times and locations.
• Creates engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material.
• Submits required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
• Utilizes a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines.
• Meets with and advises students before/after class or by appointment.
• Evaluates students and informs them of progress.
• Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
• Attends meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.
• Assumes other reasonable duties as assigned.
