Job summary

Kid-to-Kid Austin is seeking a Part-Time Merchandising Manager who is organized, creative, detail-oriented, and enjoys creating an inviting shopping experience for customers.

The Merchandising Manager will keep the sales floor attractive, organized, fully stocked, and seasonally appropriate, and will ensure new merchandise is processed and displayed to encourage customers to shop throughout the store. This role supports the Store Manager and involves standing for long periods and light lifting.

Qualifications

• Strong eye for organization and visual presentation.
• Enjoys clothing, children's products, and retail merchandising.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
• Retail merchandising experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Hang and display new merchandise according to store standards.
• Ensure clothing is properly sized, categorized, tagged, and presented neatly.
• Create attractive and organized sales displays throughout the store.
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked racks, shelves, tables, and displays.
• Identify opportunities to improve product placement and customer flow.
• Rotate merchandise based on season, holidays, and customer demand.
• Transition the sales floor between seasons in a timely manner.
• Assist with receiving and organizing new merchandise.
• Help maintain an efficient backroom.
• Walk the sales floor to identify areas needing attention.
• Follow all store policies and procedures.

We are looking for a Part-Time Merchandising Manager who is organized, creative, detail-oriented, and enjoys creating an inviting shopping experience for customers.

The Merchandising Manager will be responsible for keeping the sales floor attractive, organized, fully stocked, and seasonally appropriate. This position plays an important role in ensuring that new merchandise is processed efficiently and displayed in a way that encourages customers to shop throughout the store.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandise Presentation

• Hang and display new merchandise according to store standards.
• Ensure clothing is properly sized, categorized, tagged, and presented neatly.
• Create attractive and organized sales displays throughout the store.
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked racks, shelves, tables, and displays.
• Identify opportunities to improve product placement and customer flow throughout the store.
• Ensure displays remain visually appealing and easy for customers to shop.

Seasonal Merchandising

• Rotate merchandise based on season, weather, holidays, and customer demand.
• Transition the sales floor from one season to the next in a timely manner.
• Pull, organize, and store out-of-season merchandise according to store procedures.
• Create seasonal and holiday displays that highlight relevant merchandise.
• Monitor inventory levels on the sales floor and replenish merchandise as needed.

Daily Store Support

• Work closely with the Store Manager and sales associates to maintain merchandising standards.
• Assist with receiving and organizing new merchandise.
• Help maintain an efficient and organized backroom.
• Regularly walk the sales floor to identify areas that need attention.
• Assist with general store duties during slower merchandising periods.
• Follow all store policies and procedures.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule based on store needs. Availability may include weekdays and occasional weekends.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and moving merchandise. The ability to lift and carry boxes and merchandise as needed is required.
