Job summary

American Greetings is seeking merchandisers to work independently across retail locations, displaying and stocking inventory of greeting cards, gift wrap, party goods, plush, and more.

Starting pay is $16.20 per hour with increases to $17.10 after 6 months and $18.00 after 1 year; flexible scheduling and paid training are provided.

Route service includes Smelterville, ID 83868; typical 3 hours per week, rising near holidays; daytime hours, especially Monday mornings preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail merchandising or display is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and on a route across multiple stores.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, merchandising and organizing product orders.
• Display product within greeting card departments and other retail locations.
• Maintain organized backroom areas and perform inventory tasks as needed.
• Communicate with management about service or schedule questions.
• Work in a fast-paced retail environment with strong time management.
• Build relationships with store associates and management during daytime hours.
• Be available for additional days and extended hours around major holidays.
• Assist with store resets including minor fixture work or product relocations.
• Review and plan weekly service schedule using a company-issued tablet.

We are looking for merchandisers to work independently across various retail locations, showcasing their organization and time management skills to display and maintain inventory levels of our celebrations product, including greeting cards, gift wrap accessories, party goods, plush and more.

Pay:

• The starting pay is $16.20 per hour with two increases during the first year of employment (the listed rates are subject to change based on work location).
• After 6 months of employment the pay rate will increase to $17.10.
• After 1 year of continued employment the pay rate will increase to $18.00.

Route and Schedule:

This route will service the following retail locations at: 583 Commerce Dr, Smelterville, ID, 83868.

The weekly average hours are 3 hours per week. The weekly hours may increase to an average of 10 hours per week around holidays.

Ideal candidate would be available during daytime hours and specifically Monday mornings due to store needs and service.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders, displaying product within greeting card departments and other retail locations, maintaining an organized backroom areas, and other inventory tasks as needed.
• Communicate with management any questions or concerns regarding service or schedules.
• Work in a fast-paced retail environment utilizing effective time management skills and organizational skills.
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime retail business hours.
• Availability for additional working days and extended hours leading up to and immediately following major holidays.
• Provide occasional assistance with store resets which may include minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested.
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload in your assigned stores, utilizing a company-issued tablet
• The ability to work on your own and with a team.
