Job summary

Livingston County Community Mental Health Authority in Howell, Michigan, seeks a Part-time Mental Health Assistant (28 hours per week) for adults with serious mental illness and/or co-occurring substance use disorders. You will support access to community resources under a lead clinician, helping individuals obtain housing, employment, medical care, transportation, and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Valid MI driver’s license required.
• Some evening or weekend hours are required.
• Experience working with people with mental health needs.
• Experience in crisis stabilization and housing procurement is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a community mental health clinic is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to access community resources for adults with serious mental illness.
• Assist consumers in obtaining housing, employment, medical care, transportation, and benefits.
• Work as part of a team under supervision of the lead clinician.
