Job summary

Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island, NE is hiring a Part-Time Medication Aide (MA40). The 6a-6p shift operates on a 12-hour schedule with every third weekend and holiday rotation. Requires active MA40 and CNA licenses in Nebraska.

Age 18+, HS diploma preferred; 6 months caregiver experience preferred. Provides ADL support and adheres to care plans and PHI/privacy rules. Compensation ranges, shift premiums, and differentials apply depending on qualifications and location.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring).

• Follow department protocol for submission of documentation.
• Prioritize assignments and adapt throughout shift to meet changing needs.
• Follow the care plan and HIPAA privacy requirements.

Description

Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island is currently hiring for a Part-Time Medication Aide (MA40). The scheduled hours for this position is 6a-6p (12 Hours). This position also includes an every third weekend and holiday rotation.

The Medication Aide requires an active, good-standing MA40 and CNA license required.

Ideal Candidate:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
• Active CNA license in the state of NE required
• Active MA40 license in the state of NE required
• Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation and continence.
• Assists with Senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers and orientation of new employees.
• Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
• Prioritizes assignments, making adjustments throughout shift to meet frequently changing/ overlapping Senior/client/caregiver/TEAMember/manager needs, call lights, when necessary.
• Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Eventide, regardless of TEAMember preference.
• Follows through on the comprehensive care plan/service plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
• Complies with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy by insuring that Protected Health Information (PHI) is safeguarded at all times.
• Additional essential functions while utilizing a MA40 :
  • Prepares and administers medications and treatments, under the direction of the RN, within scope of practice as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures.

Compensation:

At Eventide, we value our employees and offer a competitive starting pay range of $19.00-$21.28 per hour for MA's based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
