Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a part-time Medical Physicist to ensure accuracy of radiation measurements in our oncology programs. The role involves overseeing brachytherapy safety and calibration, and contributing to NRC documentation and policy reviews.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in Medical Physics or ABR certification with 1 year of cancer-treatment physics experience. Sign-on bonuses and relocation assistance may be available, with benefits starting upon hire.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in medical physics required or ABR certification in progress
• ABR Part I & II completed with certification within 3 years of hire
• Minimum 1 year experience as a medical physicist in cancer treatment settings

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of radiation measurements across radiation oncology programs
• Oversee brachytherapy procedures for safety, accuracy, and record maintenance
• Commissioning of radiation equipment and calibration
• Contribute to NRC documentation, Radiation Safety Committee, and policy reviews
