Job summary

The Department of Anesthesiology at UW Health is seeking a Medical Director of the Pre Anesthesia Assessment clinic. Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiologists by start date.
• Completion of a US Anesthesiology residency by start date; eligible for hospital privileges.
• Depth of understanding of preoperative assessment and perioperative management.
• Effective leadership abilities and a track record of driving improvement.

Responsibilities

• Directs deployment of a clinical information system and related IT resources.
• Supervises staff including hiring, transfers, promotions, performance and hours worked.
• Ensures accreditation and governmental compliance.
• Serves as clinical resource to providers across the division.
• Evaluates patient concerns and drives quality and efficiency.
• Leads planning initiatives and aligns resources with the strategic plan.
