Middlesex Recovery in Massachusetts seeks a Part-Time Medical Director to lead OBOT and behavioral health services, providing clinical oversight and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care across outpatient settings.

The role focuses on treatment with MAT for opioid and alcohol use disorders, regulatory compliance, provider development, and collaboration with operations, nursing, counseling, and admin leaders to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Current unrestricted medical license in MA & NH.
• DEA registration to prescribe controlled substances.
• Board Certification in Addiction Medicine.
• Minimum of five years clinical leadership in addiction/behavioral health.
• Strong knowledge of MAT and evidence-based addiction treatment.

Responsabilités

• Provide medical oversight for addiction treatment and behavioral health services.
• Ensure evidence-based treatment including MAT for opioid and alcohol use disorder.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for physicians, NPs, PAs, nurses, counselors, and leaders.
• Review complex cases and guide treatment planning, medication management, and clinical best practices.
• Maintain compliance with federal/state regulations and accreditation standards.
• Lead clinical quality improvement and provider productivity initiatives.
• Support onboarding, competency development, and continuing medical education.
• Facilitate trainings on addiction medicine and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Operations and Clinical Leadership to ensure seamless patient care.
• Lead risk management activities and promote safe prescribing practices.
• Represent Middlesex Recovery in professional and community settings.
