Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Medical Assistant to support two physicians with patient care and clerical duties. You will perform venipuncture and EKGs, assist with exams, manage patient flow, and enter data in the EMR system under physician supervision.

The role requires a Medical Assistant certificate, a high school diploma, and 2+ years of experience; BCLS certification is required. This is a non-bargaining unit position within Otolaryngology.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with a Medical Assistant certificate course completion.
• 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and/or EKGs; assist with exams and procedures.
• Manage patient flow and room readiness; escort patients as needed.
• Enter orders and patient data in EMR; prepare prescriptions for physician approval.
• Inventory and restock medical supplies; ensure sterile technique and safety.
