Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse on the Medical Surgical Intermediate unit (CDH Med/Surg Intermediate 3C) in Winfield, IL. The role requires an IL-licensed RN, ADN acceptable with BSN bridge, and BLS certification, with care for acutely ill patients and collaboration with the care team.

Shifts are days, 7am–7:30pm with rotating weekends. The unit is 26 beds, high-acuity and fast-paced, with shared governance and multidisciplinary rounds.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within three years.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies outcomes, and coordinates care delivery.
• Directs care and utilization of nursing staff involved in direct patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family and health team; documents plan and outcomes.
• Participates in governance, committee work, and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses and updates the plan of care accordingly.
• Uses evidence-based practice to guide nursing decisions.
• Maintains current Illinois RN license and complies with standards.
