Worcester Polytechnic Institute is seeking part-time adjunct teaching faculty in Mechanical Engineering to teach day and/or evening classes at undergraduate and graduate levels. Positions are created for an applicant pool and assignments are made as needed by the department.

Ideal candidates hold an advanced degree, have significant practical experience, and possess successful undergraduate/graduate teaching experience. Start dates vary; online teaching and Canvas experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with teaching experience.
• PhD preferred; master's degree in related discipline required.
• Experience with online teaching and Canvas is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach day and/or evening classes for undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
• Provide students with timely feedback and grading based on the established curriculum.
• Review the WPI course catalog to identify teachable courses and align expertise.
