Job summary

Huntington Learning Center Harrisburg is seeking a Part-Time Math Tutor / Academic Tutor to provide individualized 1:1 math instruction for K–12 students in Harrisburg, PA. The role emphasizes math tutoring, academic support, and exam preparation with a structured curriculum and ongoing training.

No long-term lesson planning or grading is required; the center offers curriculum, training, and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (Math, Education, Science, Engineering, or related field preferred)
• Strong knowledge of K–12 math curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, dependable, and student-centered
• Prior tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or coaching experience preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 math tutoring (Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Pre‑Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus)
• Deliver academic support and skill remediation
• Assist with homework help and concept reinforcement
• Support SAT/ACT math test preparation
• Monitor student progress and maintain instructional quality standards
• Build student confidence and measurable academic improvement
