Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree and endorsement in the grade/subject taught with a valid Tennessee certificate.
  • Two or more years of teaching experience at the high school or post-secondary level.

Responsibilities

  • Teach students learning strategies for an academic math class (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-calculus/Calculus).
  • Conduct teaching and instructional activities using educational equipment, props, and other learning aids.
  • Prepare and submit a course syllabus prior to the start of the class, assist with planning, instruction, and evaluation of tutoring and problem-solving activities.
  • Complete paperwork associated with classroom and project management.
  • Make recommendations on students' strengths and needs.
  • Report student learning and behavioral issues to the appropriate staff personnel.
  • Attend training and meetings.
