Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking part-time adjunct faculty in Mathematics and Statistics to teach a course or courses for a semester. These positions are temporary and do not accrue benefits.

Responsibilities include developing syllabi, delivering lectures, meeting class times, holding office hours, grading, and reporting progress and final grades in line with university policies.

Qualifications

• Faculty teaching undergraduate courses: doctorate or master’s degree in the teaching discipline, or a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline.
• Faculty teaching graduate courses: earned doctorate/terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.
• Masters Degree in Mathematics or Statistics is a minimum requirement.
• Finalists will be required to provide an official transcript and are subject to a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Developing and/or updating course syllabus.
• Preparing lectures, projects, or other student assignments.
• Meeting all designated class periods.
• Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.
• Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
• Submitting completed mid‑semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
