Job summary

Canyon View Middle School in Cedar City, UT is seeking two Part Time Math, Reading and Science Classroom Paraprofessionals to support teachers and students in the learning process. The positions offer 1 - 16.5 hours per week (Mon-Thu 11:00am-2:30pm; Fri 10:00am-12:30pm) and an additional Lunch Monitor shift of 18 hours per week (Mon-Thu 10:45am-1:45pm; Fri 9:45am-12:15pm).

Paraprofessionals assist with instructional support, classroom management and student interactions.

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer knowledge and be familiar with Google Docs.
• Willing to learn school software and follow district procedures.
• Reliable attendance and ability to support students in multiple subjects.

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional support assistance to students and student groups.
• Participates in the development, maintenance and carrying out of systems for classroom management.
• Guides students in working and interacting harmoniously with other students.
• Operates various types of office equipment such as computers, copy machines, etc.
• Complies with established district policies and procedures.
• Must have basic computer knowledge, be familiar with Google docs and check email frequently. Must be willing to learn and use all computer systems and software as needed.

Canyon View Middle School is seeking TWO Part Time Math, Reading and Science Classroom Paraprofessionals.

This position will remain open until filled.

1 - 16.5 hours per week. Monday-Thursday 11:00am-2:30pm. Friday 10:00am-12:30pm.

The Classroom Paraprofessional is under the direction of the school principal, assists classroom teachers in maintaining appropriate classroom activities and environment in order that students may learn effectively. Provides instructional support assistance to students and student groups, and performs a variety of instructional and classroom management supports, as well as related data/clerical tasks to support teachers and other professional staff in all classrooms or learning environments.
