Job summary

Brightmont Academy seeks a Part-Time Math & Science Teacher to provide one-to-one instruction for students in grades 1–12. The role offers ~20 hours/week, paying $24–$30/hour with a flexible schedule.

No lesson planning or outside work required; focus on inspiring students and guiding them to mastery. Proficiency with G-Suite and LMS is expected, along with a background check.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a subject area related to math or science.
• Patience and empathy to support diverse learners.
• G-Suite and LMS proficiency to manage lessons.
• Ability to pass fingerprint background check.

Responsibilities

• Teach students one-on-one, tailoring lessons to individual needs.
• Deliver instruction with no lesson planning or outside work required.
• Support student mastery through guided, step-by-step instruction.
• Adopt flexible scheduling to fit student and program needs.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in your subject area (Math, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Biology-anything that fuels your passion!).


• Patience & Empathy: You understand that every student learns differently, and you’re committed to supporting them every step of the way.


• A Heart for Teaching: A genuine passion to share your subject with the next generation.


• Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).


• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA, only) and pass a federal background check.

Bonus Qualifications
