STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION District Five, Materials and Research is offering a part-time internship for Fall 2026 (August–December) in DeLand, FL. The role supports concrete testing, mix design approval, inspections, and plan reviews under FDOT standards, with a hands-on, collaborative environment.

The position pays $15.00 per hour and requires up to 10 hours of work per week. Candidates must meet minimum qualifications and be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of using PC and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong organization, time management and prioritization abilities.
• Proactive and capable of following written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Concrete Testing and Mix Design approval per FDOT standards.
• Assist with Plant Inspections and reporting results.
• Assist with Review of Quality Control Plans and technical submittals.
