Job summary

FedEx is seeking a dedicated equipment operator to ensure the safe and efficient movement of packages, documents, and heavyweight freight. You may assist in pallet buildup and breakdown, handling items above 50 lbs with equipment or colleague assistance.

You will need to communicate clearly in a noisy operations environment and complete all required safety and currency training. Shifts include early morning and evening rotations, with full-time benefits available.

Job description

Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment used for the movement of packages/documents/heavyweight, dangerous goods and ULDs. Assists in the buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight. without assistance from the ground to chest level and to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Able to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training. The ability to communicate both timely and effectively, in a noisy operations environment, is required.

Actual pay is determined by several job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, including, but not limited to, experience relative to the job, tenure, market level, pay at the location for this job, performance, schedule, and work assignment. Full-time employees are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage and participate in Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) on their date of hire. Part-time employees who have completed 91 days of employment and worked an average of at least 17 hours per week are also eligible for these benefits.
