Job summary

Arnold Motor Supply in Oelwein, IA is seeking a Part Time Machinist Assistant to support daily machine shop operations and assist Machinists on projects. Flexible 20–25 hour weekly schedule, Monday through Friday, with opportunities to learn and grow in a veteran-shop environment.

You will help disassemble cylinder heads and blocks, record service details for customer jobs, and ensure safe handling of parts. Training provided for the right candidate with strong reliability.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in cylinder head and block disassembly is preferred, but we will train the right candidate
• Manual dexterity for disassembly operations
• Ability to follow directions from the Machinists
• Strong organizational skills while working on multiple projects
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Forklift license or ability to obtain one
• Lifting of a minimum of 70 pounds regularly
• Flexible schedule: 20–25 hours, Mon–Fri 7:30 AM–5:30 PM
