Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – General Surgery 3W to provide patient care under supervision and coordinate with departments involved in post-operative care.

The successful candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold an RN license (state or compact) and BLS, with a minimum of 2 years of patient care experience. The role is part-time (24 hours/week) with a 7:00pm–7:00am shift arrangement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Under supervision of licensed prescribers or RN in charge, delivers care.
• Ensures professional accountability for provided patient care.

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred)
