Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse for a day shift on Medical Unit 3 (Med Surg/Neuro). The role involves providing nursing care to patients and families along the health-illness continuum, collaborating with the health care team, and supporting care coordination within the unit.

The LPN will perform assessments, document plans of care, and delegate tasks in accordance with state statutes. This is a non-supervisory nursing position focused on direct patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current LPN license in Ohio.
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification required.
• Medication administration course approved by Ohio Board of Nursing or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and document findings.
• Communicate patient needs and changes to the care team and families as appropriate.
• Initiate and coordinate care plans in collaboration with the health care team.
• Delegate tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel per state guidelines.
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education as needed.
