Job summary

Sumter Health & Rehabilitation in York, AL is seeking compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for part-time day shifts. You will provide hands-on nursing care, monitor residents, administer medications, and work with a dedicated care team to ensure quality, compassionate resident care. Required: Alabama LPN license in good standing and CPR/BLS certification.

Prior skilled nursing or long-term care experience is preferred. Weekend shift differential of $3.00/hour applies.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing – REQUIRED.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post‑acute care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Dependable and committed to quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and monitor resident conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Recognize and promptly report changes in resident condition.
• Supervise and support CNAs during assigned shifts.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
• Communicate with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory requirements.
