Job summary

State of Iowa is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse to assist the Registered Nurse in delivering health services to patients and staff. You will conduct health clinics, perform physical exams, manage documentation, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include administering medications, phlebotomy, ECGs, and providing emergency care under RN supervision. Strong English communication and compliance with policy are required.

Qualifications

• LPN license in Iowa or a Compact State is required.
• Ability to communicate and follow instructions in English.
• Experience with nursing documentation and patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN to provide health services to patients and staff.
• Complete periodic health appraisals and health clinics per policy.
• Perform physical examinations and document findings.
• Maintain electronic health records per standards.
• Administer medications and document administrations.
• Conduct phlebotomy and ECGs as ordered.
• Provide emergency care in medical emergencies with RN support.
• Coordinate daily clinic schedules and referrals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health team on patient care plans.
