Job summary

iHeartMedia Honolulu is seeking a Board Operator to keep broadcasts running smoothly and sounding great, delivering clarity and impact for millions of listeners. You will work with live and pre-recorded shows, manage timing, and ensure accurate commercial placement.

This role requires strong technical aptitude with broadcast gear (NexGen, Adobe Audition), attention to detail, teamwork, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or coursework a plus.
• Strong technical aptitude with broadcast equipment and automation systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaborative mindset.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Location Honolulu preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate broadcast console and studio equipment during live and pre-recorded shows.
• Monitor on-air programming for quality, timing, and compliance with FCC regulations.
• Coordinate with talent, producers, and traffic teams to ensure smooth transitions and accurate commercial placement.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in real time and escape as needed.
• Record, edit, and load audio content for playback using automation systems.
• Maintain logs and documentation for regulatory and internal compliance.
• Support remote broadcasts and live events as needed.
