Lindamood-Bell is hiring an Educational Clinician / Tutor to work on-site in Fairfax, VA. No prior teaching experience is required; paid training, instructional materials, and all equipment are provided.

The role focuses on one-to-one and small-group instruction, with afternoons scheduled to fit Learning Center needs. Part-time hours begin in November, with a typical schedule from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and pay at an hourly rate of $22.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, early childhood education certificate, or currently enrolled in a degree program (students welcome).
• Passion for helping others succeed academically.
• Ability to connect and engage with students of all ages while showcasing effective task-management capabilities in each instructional session.
• Strong reading, spelling, and comprehension skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group instruction to in-person and online students of various ages.
• Record notes about student performance while delivering engaging, structured lesson plans under the direction of Learning Center leadership.
• Implement positive reinforcement strategies that maximize learning.
• Facilitate the use of the curriculum provided for Lindamood-Bell Academy students.
• Communicate positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive learning environment.
• Manage client records, both handwritten and electronic.
